April

April is not only for showers, but is know for national poetry month! Each week I will post a poem that I have wrote in high school for my IB English class. The first one, I am posting is one I wrote about my mom.

Mom,

You've always been near and never far

Having great cheer and become a star

You gave the gift, a gift of life to me

And you lift me high, to then set me free

You've face adversity and fought without fear

Taught diversity, and made everything so clear

Supporting all sports events till the very end

you are forever my best friend

For the many things you have done

and also raising an amazing son

helps me know that deep deep down

how much you are around without a frown

I want to thank you, for all your care

for the warm loving hugs and being there

I think of you as a part of me,

and again I thank you thee.
